Did you know that families are welcome during a senior portrait session? The majority of the session will be about your senior (of course), but I am always happy to include a few photos with parents, siblings, and even a best friend! When I photographed Jacob’s senior portrait session two years ago, his mom and brother, Matthew, came along. Now Matthew is graduating high school and his brother and mom came along for his senior portrait session too!

Matthew is more of a jeans, tee shirt, and boots kind of guy, but he’s a sweet kid and put on a button down shirt for his mom. ;)

One of my favorite parts about senior portrait sessions is that each teen is unique. Their interests, their style, their personality is all them. Matthew’s favorite pastime is trap shooting, so he brought along his Perazzi shotgun! I believe it was a Christmas present from his parents – and it is definitely his prized possession! He belongs to the Sporting Clays team at Harvester Christian Academy and has even competed in competitions.

He also wanted to include this Under Armour American flag hoodie because he says he has a lot of pride for our country and loves the America flag. ♥

Matthew, it was so great to see you and your family again and I wish you nothing but the best after graduation!

I love that you include others in some of your senior images! It is so important to get these pictures done of this special time. Your photography is stunning and I can see why Mathew’s mom has chosen you again for her son’s senior photographs.

  4. I love that family and best friends can come to a senior session! Those bonds are so important and what a beautiful time to capture them! These senior portraits are awesome!

  5. I love how you included Matthew’s hobbies as well as his family for this Douglasville Senior session. The ones with his trap shooting gun are my favorite because you can see how at ease he is with his sport. I adore the idea of adding his mom & brother into a few of his images since they are clearly a close knit family.
